Thursday Evening Mature Netball League
Qualifications
This is a fun league, but all players must be over 35 years of age on the day of the match. Younger players can play with a penalty system as the league would rather the matches were played than forfeited. If the player is aged 30 – 35 then one goal is lost at the final score, 25 – 29 two goals, 20 – 24 then three goals are deducted from the final score etc. There is no upper age limit! Currently we are into the 60’s range! Every player must be affiliated to EN but teams for this league may be made up of players from several clubs if they wish and you can borrow players on the night if your team is short. If an individual would like to play but cannot find a team then they should apply to the secretary who will put them in touch with a team requiring players or we do also have ‘floating’ players and they are called upon most weeks to take up a vacancy. Your team also umpires the game before you play or after you play so that umpires can play as well. The standard of play is up to Division 5.
Venue
Kingston University Ground (just off the A3)
Time
Alternate Thursdays from 8.00pm to 9pm. (We try to avoid the school holidays). The season is from the end of September/beginning of October through to the end of March with a fun night as the last fixture.
Cost
£120 per team for the whole season which covers court fees, trophies, medals and fun night prizes. The trophy was kindly donated by Walton and Hersham NC .
Email Susan Cowan or Rose Hamilton if you are interested in joining this league
