Surrey Lions AWARDS
Surrey County Netball Association is asking for your help in saying a massive thank you to our huge netball volunteer workforce across the county. The Surrey Lions Awards are annual awards made by the county to recognise achievements and contributions made by volunteers at grass roots level. Nominations are now open for the Surrey Lions Awards 2022 – the titles of the awards reflect the new England Netball One Awards, recently announced. Closing date for nominations is Wednesday 18 May 2022.
Here are the different categories that you can nominate people for:
The awards will be presented at the SCNA AGM on 8 June 2022 at Purley Sports Club (note photographs may be taken). The following year, the winners will be forwarded to the London &SE Region awards, and winners subsequently to national awards.

- Coach of the Year – Children and Young Adults
- Coach of the Year - Adults
- The Sheelagh Redpath Community Official of the Year (active in community netball as an umpire, match official, scorer or mentor)
- The Muriel McNally Community Volunteer of the Year (for outstanding contribution to netball delivery with consistent positive impact)
- The Mary Bulloch Community Volunteer of the Year (for other types of volunteering, creating change that has improved the lives of netballers)
- Unsung Hero Award – in a club or league
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Teacher Award
- Club of the Year
- Inclusion Award
