Sports Grant Scheme
At the SCNA AGM held in June 2006 the changes by England Netball of the competitive structure were discussed. Clearly the expenditure of the County Association in respect of running the county teams will cease and it was agreed that the focus in future would be for clubs affiliated to the county and youth development.
Surrey County Netball Association has agreed to support clubs and individual players/umpires/coaches by offering a Grant Scheme as from 2007. Our accounts currently are healthy but we have financial commitments not only in running the county committee work but towards development of young players. Therefore, the grants will not be excessive but each application will be judged on its merits.
